About Secure Trust Bank Account

The Secure Trust Bank Account works like any other current account, with the facility to set up direct debits and standing orders and a prepaid card to use at over 30 million outlets.  The Prepaid Account helps you control your finances and manage your budget by never letting you go overdrawn.  When you open your account, download and complete the Wage Transfer Form , to have your salary, wages or benefits paid into your account. Then all you need to do is make sure that there are sufficient funds in your current account to cover your outgoings – the rest can be transferred onto your prepaid card.

Once you've filled in the Secure Trust Bank Account online form you'll need to load your Secure Trust Bank Account. The Card and Registration Fee will be deducted from your initial load.

The next step is to verify your email address by clicking a link in the email they will send you.

Secure Trust Bank will then post your Secure Trust Prepaid MasterCard separately to your registered address and provide you with an activation code.

You should receive your Secure Trust Card within 14 days of application. Once received, you then need to activate it by logging in to the Secure Trust Bank website and entering your activation code and 16-digit card number.

Your Secure Trust Prepay Card and eAccount will then be active and you're ready to go!

The Card and Registration Fee £12.50 will be deducted from the amount you first Load into your eAccount. This fee covers the cost of manufacture and despatch of your Secure Trust Card, along with the administrative cost of setting up your Bank Account. Anything remaining in your eAccount, after the Card and Registration Fee has been deducted (along with the Load Fee), forms your balance.

If you have lived at your current address for less than three years, Secure Trust Bank may contact you to ask for additional identification, such as a Council Tax document or a utility bill.

Where can my Prepaid Account be used?

The Prepay Account comes with a prepay card for you use in a similar way to a debit card, at over 30 million outlets, any cash machine displaying the MasterCard logo, at retail outlets and for online or telephone purchases.  Simply retain sufficient funds in your Prepaid Account  to cover your regular commitments and outgoings.  The rest can be transferred onto your prepay card.

You can vary the amount that you transfer to your card at any time – online with thier internet banking facility, or by our automated telephone service which are both available, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

You can pay cash into your Prepaid Bank Account over the counter at any one of over 20,000 participating Payzone retail outlets and, in the majority of cases, the cash will be credited to your account the very next day, providing it is paid in before 10.00pm.

Secure Trust Bank Prepaid Account is a guaranteed current account which never lets you go overdrawn again - so no more unexpected bank account charges.  Everyone is eligble for an account, regardless of their past credit history (subject to identity checks which can be done electronically at the time of application).
